FLANGES.  The standard Batescrew flange, listed in the table of dimensions, is a modified ‘Table D’ flange (AS 2129).  It has the table D Pitch Circle Diameter and number of holes, but flange thickness and bolt diameter are reduced, to values appropriate for the specified operating heads. Valves fitted with these may therefore be connected to other standard table D flanges, using the smaller bolts listed in our table.
Flanges complying with other recognised standards, eg. AS 2129 table A; DIN 2530 CL6; ANSI 125; JIS5; may be supplied, at extra cost.  These would normally be used only when required to comply with specific regulations.
LOW COST FLANGES  may also be fitted.  These are rolled from flat mild steel bar, drilled for smaller bolts, at closer intervals.  This type of flange, although non-standard, is suitable for operating heads to ten metres, it provides a cost saving in both material and bolts, but will not interface with standard flanges.
