CALCULATION OF SYSTEM PARAMETERS

·         Optimum pump speed.

·         Optimum inlet pipe diameter.

·         Discharge velocity.

·         Optimum bubbler diameter.

·         Pump and elbow losses.

·         Column loss.

·         Velocity loss.

·         Discharge pipe loss.

·         Suction and entrance loss.

·         Power required (hp) & (KW).

·         Diesel fuel cost per megalitre of water pumped.

·         Electric power cost per megalitre of water pumped.

RUNNING COSTS
Running costs are calculated for both diesel and electric, per megalitre pumped, based on actual on-site cost of fuel and power as advised by the customer.

CHOICE OF IMPELLER
Many Batescrew pumps have several optional impellers, of slightly different characteristics and trim diameter, allowing for the lowest possible fuel cost at the required pressure and flow rate.  Our Technical Services Department will recommend the most suitable impeller available.
